You get caught up in the catchy, irreverent melodies and then later realize that the words aren't as funny as you first thought. I never had an alarm that I could control what was played. It was either a loud beeping or a staticky radio station. I haven't used an alarm in decades. Not because I don't work, but because my inner clock wakes me up when I need to get up.
I also no longer need an alarm. Not due to my inner alarm but rather the 9 alarms that my wife has set to go off an hour leading up to when she actually has to wake up.
