Like you've said on multiple occasions, for a "jokey" band, TMBG sure wrote/sang about some heavy shit. I think that's what makes the songs so insidious. You get caught up in the catchy, irreverent melodies and then later realize that the words aren't as funny as you first thought. I never had an alarm that I could control what was played. It was either a loud beeping or a staticky radio station. I haven't used an alarm in decades. Not because I don't work, but because my inner clock wakes me up when I need to get up.

I also no longer need an alarm. Not due to my inner alarm but rather the 9 alarms that my wife has set to go off an hour leading up to when she actually has to wake up.

My wife thankfully uses one alarm and gets up immediately.
